A battered motor in need of extensive work is on sale for nearly £6,000.
The 1968 Mk1 Ford Escort, described as “a cracking winter project”, has been listed on eBay.
And the 1300 GT is being eyed up by over 180 people, as reported by Luxury Auto News.
The listing reads: “Reluctant sale – will make a nice car and a rare car – desprate to free up some dry storage so needs to find a new home.
“A very very early example.
“1968 Escort.
“What you see is what you get in summary…
“Rolls and steers for loading.
“Solid shell in fairness, needs welding, but not disasterous… floors are solid but a patchwork quilt of plates.
“Fitted with NOS front panel, rear panel and RS wings fitted.
“V5 has been misplaced so not present – so assume it needs applying for, etc.
“Registration plates are there, and comes up as multi coloured 1968 1300GT.
“An assortment of parts and goodies inside car.
“I have the engine and box here too.
