Stellantis has announced that its entire lineup of cars and light-duty commercial vehicles is now fully compatible with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) Diesel, a renewable alternative to traditional diesel.
HVO, also known as “green Diesel,” is derived from sustainable sources such as vegetable oils, animal fats, and waste cooking oils, producing cleaner fuel with reduced emissions.

This compatibility spans all current models, including many Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles already on the road. Models equipped with specific engines, such as the 1.3, 1.6, 2.0, 2.2, and 3.0 MultiJet engines, can also use HVO if marked with “XTL” on the fuel filler neck.
Stellantis’ move to embrace HVO Diesel supports the company’s mission to provide sustainable mobility solutions and aligns with its “Dare Forward 2030” plan, which targets carbon neutrality by 2038.
