The 2025 Lucid Air achieves NHTSA’s top five-star safety rating in all key tests, reflecting its advanced engineering and commitment to occupant protection in luxury EVs.

Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: LCID) announced that its luxury electric vehicle, the Lucid Air, has achieved the highest five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) for 2025.

The Air’s Pure, Touring, Grand Touring, and Sapphire models received five stars across all key areas, including frontal, side, and rollover crash tests.

Eric Bach, Lucid’s SVP of Product and Chief Engineer, highlighted that safety has been a core focus in the Lucid Air’s development, remarking that the five-star rating “was fully expected given the comprehensive engineering process.”

The Lucid Air’s robust, lightweight aluminum frame and advanced battery design contribute to its top safety performance.

The Silicon Valley-based automaker, known for its high-performance EVs, is also expanding production at its Arizona facility in preparation for its upcoming Lucid Gravity SUV.
