The new Audi A5 made a strong impression at its world premiere and is now showcasing its capabilities on the winding roads of the Côte d’Azur.
The scenic, challenging terrain in the French Maritime Alps, with its narrow roads and varied curves, provides the ideal setting for the A5’s dynamic handling and sophisticated drivetrain, built on Audi’s Premium Platform Combustion (PPC).

The latest A5 models are powered by Audi’s new MHEV plus technology, featuring a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that enhances both performance and efficiency. This system supports electric driving in stop-and-go traffic, regenerative braking, and boosts acceleration with up to 18 kW of additional power.
In city driving, it lowers fuel consumption by providing electric power to systems like the air conditioning, even when the engine is off.
Audi has also made significant enhancements to the A5’s chassis for a more dynamic yet comfortable driving experience. The stiffer steering setup improves precision, and the rear-biased stabilization and brake torque vectoring enhance cornering agility.
The standard steel suspension can be upgraded to S sports suspension, offering a more responsive ride with electronic damper control.
Inside, the A5 features a new digital layout, including an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch MMI panoramic display. Voice commands can be activated via “Hey Audi,” with a new assistant powered by ChatGPT for natural-language interactions.
A newly developed head-up display (HUD) offers clearer, larger visuals, including navigation and media information, allowing drivers to focus on the road.
For audiophiles, the optional Bang & Olufsen sound system with 20 speakers—including headrest speakers—offers a high-quality, immersive sound experience. Audi also continues to lead in lighting technology, with customizable digital daytime running lights and OLED rear lights that support car-to-X communication, improving road safety.
In sum, the new Audi A5 impresses with its advanced hybrid tech, refined handling, and cutting-edge digital features, solidifying its position as a standout in the mid-size luxury segment.
