Toyota’s RAV4 Prime, launched in 2019, has been rebranded as the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid for the 2025 model year.
Offering 42 miles of electric-only range and a combined 38 MPG in hybrid mode, the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid provides a balance of performance and efficiency.
It delivers 302 horsepower and accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 5.5 seconds, making it one of the quickest models in Toyota’s lineup.

Available in SE and XSE trims, the 2025 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid features a spacious interior with 33.5 cubic feet of cargo space, an 8-inch ground clearance, and a range of comfort features like heated front seats and available ventilated rear seats.
The XSE adds a sporty touch with 19-inch alloy wheels, red-painted shock absorbers, and dual-tone exterior paint options.
The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid can run in Electric Vehicle (EV) mode, Hybrid mode, or Charge mode, switching seamlessly between its gasoline engine and electric motors. It can be fully charged in 12 hours using a standard household outlet or in just 2.5 hours with a Level II charger.
Expected to arrive at dealerships in late 2024, the 2025 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid starts at $43,865. With its new name, the model continues to offer the same blend of power, efficiency, and versatility that drivers expect.
