Mazda Expands and Updates SUV Lineup for 2025
Mazda’s Hybrid Evolution and New Additions
Mazda has been making significant strides in its SUV lineup over the past few years. In 2024, the CX-90 was introduced as a replacement for the CX-9, and for the 2025 model year, the automaker rolls out the all-new CX-70 along with a hybrid variant of the rugged CX-50.
This shift underscores Mazda’s commitment to offering hybrid powertrains across its SUV range, with most models now available with a hybrid option. However, these are just a few of the updates Mazda has in store for 2025.

It offers a choice of two mild-hybrid inline-6 engines or a 323-hp plug-in hybrid powertrain.
