The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander, recognized as a 2023 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK, stands out in its segment by offering Rear Automatic Emergency Braking (Rear AEB) as a standard feature, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Every Outlander is also equipped with Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist and Forward Collision Mitigation with Pedestrian Detection, among other safety features.

Since its comprehensive redesign in spring 2021, the Mitsubishi Outlander has garnered significant attention, breaking sales records and earning accolades from various third-party publications. Standard features across all trim levels of the Outlander include Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Lane Departure Warning and Prevention (LDW & LDP), Driver Attention Alert, Automatic High Beam (AHB), Hill Descent Control (HDC), and Trailer Stability Assist (TSA). Additionally, a Multiview Camera system is available on select models.

Mitsubishi’s MI-PILOT Assist integrates Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Traffic Sign Recognition to help maintain appropriate speed, following distance, and lane positioning.
