A 1973 BMW, once owned by Jamiroquai frontman, Jay Kay, has sold for an eye-watering £151,875 at auction.
The iconic white and blue 1973 BMW ‘CSL Batmobile’ 3.5-Litre FIA was bought by the singer in 2013.
The 54-year-old invested much money into the car’s mechanics and infamously took it for a spin at Silverstone.

The ‘Batmobile’s’ racing provenance is as star-studded as it comes.
It was converted from a road car in the 1980s by the late saloon racer, Tim Busby, and spent the next 35 years powering around race tracks across the globe, including Le Mans and Monza where it won various awards.
The rock star auctioned the car after four years in 2017 with the buyer investing over six figures to raise it to modern standards and prepare it for a return to the European racing scene.
The current owner bought it with International Automobile Federation papers valid until December 31 2027, as reported by Luxury Auto News.
The latest sale was held by Iconic auctioneers on Saturday 18 May, 2024 at Sywell Aerodrome, Sywell, Northampton.
