Bill H. Lyon, representing the Lyon collection, called the award a pinnacle of recognition. Competing against other standout classics like a 1935 Avions Voisin C25 Aerodyne and a 1937 Bentley Sedanca Coupe, the Duesenberg was chosen by a panel of 25 expert judges, including Ralph Lauren, Nick Mason, and Jay Leno.

The award was presented at The Peninsula London on 3 September 2024. The winning Duesenberg is on display in the hotel’s lobby until 14 September, accompanied by a special Classic Car Afternoon Tea to celebrate the event.
